The Nielson Christmas Party

We look so forward to this party every year!  The food is so delicious

Jeremy's parents with his sister, Emilee's children:  Hudson, Madison and Jordan

Our nativity was so funny this year!  Kennedy was Mary and wasn't too careful with her baby--Bridger kept "whispering" to her how to do it right, but she wouldn't listen.

Such a princess!

Madison is too cute!

This year, instead of exchanging gifts (between adults) we combined our money to donate to a good cause.  It was so nice!  We donatedj to the Road Home in Salt Lake and also put together this quilt.  I loved this idea--and I love the ture spirit of Christmas that it brought to all of us.

Addison and Mabulane

I love this picture!  Addison and Mabulane were married in South Africa last February, but were able to be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple just before Christmas.

Here are all the girls in my family:  Kennedy, Vanessa, Rebecca, Kimalee and Me

And the boys: Bridger, Sean, Jordan and Jeremy (Dave must have been working)

And all of us!

It just started snowing when we walked out--perfect!

Our cute chubby Christmas tree

And it's a Horst family tradition--Fill or Bust.  Ever play it?  Sooo fun!

(some) Family Pictures...

Bridger and Kennedy is their cute Christmas outfits from Grandma and Grandpa Nielson.

To celebrate, the marriage of Mabulane and Addison, we had an open house for them at my house (they and my parents and Sean were staying for Christmas).  These are pictures before everyone came over.

And I have no idea why his lips are blue!

They are so cute!

And so are they! :)

And this is what happens when you fall asleep while Bridger is playing with his dart gun....

December Fun

We got our tree up!  It is so fun to have it in our little sunroom with all those windows!  It just twinkles from the outside in three different directions!

Oh, and don't mind the kids--they have a huge selection of cute pajamas and yet they insist on wearing these too-small and quite ugly things.  Choose your battles, right??

This is Bridger's favorite new trick--sitting on the heater vent with a blanket--it keeps him nice and toasty!

And I was able to participate in the South Jordan Community Choir Orchestra again this year.  The Sounds of the Season.  The choir is excellent and the music is the perfect challenge.  I don't get (or take...) many opportunities to play my flute anymore so I really look forward to this!

This year, I roped in my brother Jordan and his trumpet.  Now if only they had a performance in the summer time...then my poor flute might feel loved again :)

Our first snowman of the season!  This thing was really big and since the snow was so heavy, it took 3 people to put the head on!

Kennedy and Bridger loved patting all the snow in place and sticking in the carrot nose and coal eyes.

Our little snow angel!

Clementines are our favorite around Christmas!  Bridger and Kennedy will eat 3 each a day!  One night, Jer made a little mask for them--it was a big hit!

We are so excited that my family gets to spend Christmas with us this year!  All the way from Florida, Grammy came a little earlier than the rest and snapped these two pictures of Bridger and Kennedy (of course she is decked out in all of Grammy's jewlery--her favorite!)

And here's a picture of our poor Bridger trying to get some sleep.  Apparently we are a little too loud for him downstairs, but this seems to help!
