We love fall!

Pumpkin patches are the funnest. We were able to go to one a couple of weeks ago and we had so much fun! Here are the kids in the mini corn maze--Kennedy kept trying to hide and scare us and Bridger did the same, although, in the back of his mind I know that he wondered if we would ever make it out alive. He was just a little to anxious to find the exit :)

Oh yes, a trip to the pumpkin patch is not complete without a visit to the pumpkin princess. And was Kennedy ever excited to have long flowing hair--I told her she looked like rapunzel and she beamed! (and then I checked her hair for lice--didn't think about that....gross)

This lady was probably so sick of smiling, but Kennedy didn't notice--she was completely mesmerized! She had to touch every part of her dress and she 'oohed and aahed' over everything! What a little silly.

And for some strange reason, Kennedy desperately wanted to go inside of this monster. So, I took her in 5 steps. She said 'what was that?' (when we heard a noise) Then she suggested we leave and told everyone how scary it was. I'm glad she was able to get it out of her system. Bridger wouldn't get within 20 feet of the place...

My sister, Vanessa is Jeremy's nemesis. They played a mean game of tetherball--Napoleon Dynamite style. I think Jeremy won.... Bridger and Kennedy tried to play too, but Kennedy ended up getting hit in the head and had to forfeit.

Here we are on the awesome trampoline-thingy. Don't I look like I belong in Thriller video? What is up with all that hair?
Vanessa looks a little cheerleader-ish and Jer and I tried to jump together, but let's face it--we're just not that coordinated. Or at least one of us isn't.....hmmm.... This is the best shot out of 10--yes, we wasted a lot of time on this :)

Always wanted to marry a cowboy...

And in closing I just have to give my thoughts on balloon animals...

1. They are cute and fun and I have no idea how to create one. I have tried before only to be able to master a snake...

2. I know that these balloon masters earn their livlihood on tips, but who ever has cash these days? My kids always want these and I never have a few dollars--this is very frustrating. They should take credit cards....

3. It's a nice gesture, but balloon animals at the pumpkin patch is like fire and ice--both of my kids balloon's popped before we left and there were many tears. Why oh why do they torture us so!

He did it!

This post is just a little late--see the green leaves on the trees? Oh, well. Jer completed in a triathalon at the end of September. And boy did he train! And when I say train, I mean he ran around the block three times....this guy makes me green with envy the way he can just wing it. I have to say though, he has been riding his bike to work everyday for months, and that is quite an accomplishment :)

His number was 911--isn't that funny? It made for a good theme song, even Bridger and Kennedy sang along ("Somebody call 911!") The other competitors were very envious....
Here we are at the finish line waiting for Jer to show up--the race was in our neighborhood, so I walked to the finish line. However, I was hoping to be there in 20 minutes but it actually took 45 (did I ever regret that decision!!) I was so panicked that I had missed him! Luckily we made it and I was even able to catch my breath before he finished. :)
It was a perfect fall day--they gave out sidewalk chalk and kites to the kids so we had a fun time.

Poor Jer, he finishes a triathalon and the kids suck up all of his water! What a nice dad--I would have told them to go find a water fountain somewhere :) I'm hoping to be able to do this race next year--as long as it's sometime after May...anyone care to join me???

Elvis is back!!!

I decided to take full advantage of my kids for Halloween this year. Instead of letting them pick what they wanted to be (fireman...princess...) I used my vast persuasive skills to get them to be what I wanted. Bwa ha ha ha! (Insert evil laughter...)
Of course, Bridger had no idea who Elvis was and Kennedy definitely didn't know what a 'poodle girl' was..but when I brought up a guitar and a pink skirt, they were both sold. And I have to say that they were also very very excited. Bridger didn't even mind that I sprayed his hair black--he just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to injure him (you know, the usual--poke his eye out or cut his ear off...that sort of thing...)--but once we got past that, he was fine. :)
We went to our town's fall festival this last weekend and not only did Bridger a.k.a. "Elvis" get invited on stage to play with the rock band, but they won the costume contest too! Were they ever excited! They each got a fun toy, and free movie passes, ice cream, pancakes at village in and jamba juice (Bridger's favorite!!!)

They love getting into character--Bridger really has the moves. He has hips and he knows how to use them--we just try to encourage the elvis hip swing as opposed to the michael jackson one....yikes....
They love to dance together. Kennedy loves to shake her "chips" (hips) and Bridger loves to sing "blue suede shoes"

I love halloween! And now I am even more excited for next year--when we'll have one more child to torture! And by the way---it's a GIRL!!!!
