Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Bridger!! I can't believe he's already 3 years old! Time goes soooooo quickly--it seems like just yesterday that he was a sleeping baby in my arms. However, that stage only lasted a couple months...Bridger has always been a mover--he was rolling around the house at 2 1/2 months and was crawling all over by 5. I haven't been able to keep him still yet. I am amazed at his vast knowledge of all kinds of construction trucks and rescue vehicles. He is constantly correcting me for calling a 'backhoe' a 'trackhoe'...He has a very wild imagination and loves to play pretend--when I asked him what he was talking about the other day he said: "oh, nevermind mom. I'm not talking to you." Hmmm, then who, I wonder???? :)He is becoming very computer savvy declaring last week: "just a minute, mom--I have to check my email. I think my friend Emma was going to send me an email...(click click click) oh, here we go!" What a crazy!
I love how time after time he will say: "I am so sorry mom, I didn't mean to--I'll never do it again" ---only to do it again. I also love his morning routine of asking "What are we going to do today, mom?" and then "what are we going to do after that?"--over and over and over again until we have discussed his plans for college...
I love how much he loves chocolate (he totally gets that from me!) I love his love of reading--he will read the entire Friend in one sitting and then want more! He has every nursery rhyme and every story book in his room memorized and whenever I read to him I leave blanks in all of the sentences and he fills them in for me--whether I think he's paying attention or not!
I love how he is such a sponge. He remembers EVERYTHING I tell him. Once I told him he couldn't have any juice because I was saving it for a rainy day--then a month later, on a rainy day, he reminded me of this and got the juice!
I love getting hugs and kisses from him (they're rare but sweet) and I really love watching him love his sister. He calls her "sveetheart" and loves to rub his belly on her (it sounds weird, I know--but she is so soft!)
I love his big brown eyes and how he always tells me the truth--even if it gets him into trouble. Yesterday morning he woke us up by asking Jer if he had found his ring yet. Ummm, why Bridger? Bridger said: "I'm sorry dad, I lost your ring and I don't know where it is. I'll never do it again. Can I have breakfast?" He loves playing with his dad's "stuff"...we found the ring, by the way, it was under the bed...
He is my little (big) Bridger, he loves to fly airplanes and fix 'stuff' with his dad and loves to help me sew and make cookies. He is destined for great things, hopefully I can keep up!

Wedding!
Well, I finally have pics from my sisters wedding a couple of weeks ago. She got married in the Salt Lake Temple and it was so lovely. Of course, with a wedding or any major event things are bound to go wrong. Firstly, for some unknown reason--my mother let my little 15-yr old brother take all the pictures (love ya Sean!!) out of a hundred or so, these are by far the best...sad, isn't it. Luckily, there was a real photographer there, so hopefully we will see some better pictures later. As you can see, I have tried not to post very many pictures of myself--I had my hair done that morning and the hairstylist proceeded to give me a mullett-like updo and then charged me $50--I was so steamed!!!! It also took way longer than necessary and therefore I got home with only 45 minutes to get the whole family ready and to alter my dress (which was too loose on top)--I was putting my makeup on in the car and had to fix the neckline of Kennedy's dress which had ripped open--so not a great way to start off the day!
On our way to the sealing, Sean (again, love ya...) was supposed to meet us in the waiting room to look after our kids. We got there 30 minutes early and ended up looking for him for 28 minutes--we were so stressed! Jeremy almost didn't make it to the wedding cause he thought he was going to have to babysit! Luckily, with about a minute and a half to spare we found Sean and all was well (even though I was entering the temple with thoughts of murder running through my head---the sisterly love kind of murder...does that make sense???)
Shortly before Rebecca and Dave came out, my mom came outside...without any shoes on. Where were her shoes? Apparently somebody took them or moved them. My mom took all of our family pictures barefoot and then went back in to find her shoes---2 HOURS LATER---she found them and now there was only about an hour left to get to the reception. However, she and my dad still needed to pick up flowers---fighting traffic and construction they make it to the florist. The florist couldn't find the flowers anywhere--after much time and effort they were finally located. Fighting traffic and construction yet again, they make it to the reception about 30 minutes late. All is well after that--well,except for the fact that I never got to dance with Jeremy because he had to take our kids home (kids who were overly exhausted, excited and desperately wanted to squish their little fingers into the wedding cake...)
It was a beautiful wedding and reception and Rebecca and Dave are just right for eachother--they make the cutest couple!
Some pics below are of me and my mom and sisters after a pedicure (very fun!! we went to a spa--my first time--and were really pampered), my dad and Sean and Vanessa dancing--very funny, and an example of why Jeremy left so early with Kennedy (and Bridger) :)

Crazy Utah Weather!!!
So, this spring (summer/winter???) has been so crazy. Half the week is winter weather and the other half is summer--but where is spring? On one cold day last week, Bridger (don't ask me why he's naked...) decided he wanted to ride his bike....in the garage.
He was having a grand ole time and was quite pleased with himself--I was pleased that he didn't hit the car or the flowers. He was just ringing the bell on his bicycle and laughing hysterically. It was too funny.
Then, there have been some nice warm sunny summer-ish days. We have definetly taken advantage of these days. Bridger, with his nice big collection of road construction trucks, loves to play in the small patch of dirt and gravel next to our patio.
He's "building" a road and this time Kennedy wanted to help. Really, she wasn't so interested in the trucks as much as the dirt.
It is the cutest thing to see these two chubby hands playing in the dirt. Kennedy is more interested in playing with trucks than dolls at this point and I am not surprised!! Bridger just makes it look like so much fun--especially with all the sound effects and big-rig talk he uses! :)

Bridger's new friend

Lately, Bridger has been playing with Farrin, a little boy across the street who's almost 3 years older. It has been so cute to watch them play together. Farrin walks over and rings the doorbell and Bridger gets so excited he forgets to put his shoes on! They usually ride bikes together or play sidewalk
chalk--and they always ask for a popsicle even if it's freezing outside!Wednesday, May 14, 2008
My Friend
So, my great friend, Lois and her husband Doug have been trying to have a baby for a while and she just recently posted a video of a song that I thought was really sweet.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

What a wonderful weekend it was--love celebrating mother's day (especially now that I am one :) ). Jeremy and Bridger made me breakfast on Sunday morning--in the dutch oven (I was very impressed). They made breakfast turnovers and scrambeled eggs with juice and strawberries (yummy!!!) then Jeremy proceeded to do the dishes all day--change most of the diapers and took care of the kids needs. I felt very spoiled but must confess, this is how he is on a regular basis. He is always happy to do things around the house and help with the kids--I am so lucky! As a tradition, for the past three years, Jeremy has always given a cute children's book with their cute little hands and feet stamped on the inside cover--it is so sweet to look back and see how they've grown! But, you should know--the first year, Jeremy used a permanent ink pad and Bridgers' hands and feet were blue for 3 days!!

Also wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to my mom. I love how happy she always is and how much she loves Bridger and Kennedy. She always has a little "treat" for them (and they know it!). My mom loves to tease but she also loves to be teased, which can be really fun at times... :) Growing up, she was always making us things--cookies after school, matching dresses for me and my cabbage patch doll I always had the funnest birthday parties (the first one I remember was a Barbie birthday--when Barbie was still cute and wholesome---everyone came dressed as Barbie and I got lots of barbie presents!). When she was little, she wished her name was Red Rose (instead of Cynthia) and secretly still wishes is was :) and she went to school to be a fashion designer. She taught me all of my favorite crafts (including how to sew and smock in a month...). She is also a Breast Cancer Survivor, I'm sure her most difficult trial. Hopefully she knows how much I appreciate her and what a great example she is to me!
My mother-in-law, Shauna is so wonderful! I feel so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family, where they don't even use the term "in-law". She is so great--is always doing fun things for the kids and makes up the funnest traditions---like, taking all the kids for the Fourth-of-July and getting them a flag shirt--they love that! I love how 'Martha' she is--our family parties always have the most gorgeous centerpieces with coordinating paper plates and napkins, it is so fun just to see what she has 'thrown' together. She keeps a beautiful home and garden and helped me pick out some flowers this year (green thumbs run in the family...) And most importantly, I thank her for raising such a great son--she taught him how to clean the bathrooms, do the laundry and (with the help of two older sisters...) be sensitive to his wife! :)On Saturday, I got to run in the Race for the Cure with my running group. I thought it was very fitting for Mother's Day weekend since both my mom and my grammy are breast cancer survivors and my grandma has passed away from breast cancer.
We took trax up to the Gateway (it took a while, but at least we got seats and Bridger loved it!).

Here we are: Lindsay, Naoma, Sinika, me and Rachel--they are such gorgeous girls!!

By the end of the race, Kennedy was zonked out, she and Bridger were so good! Bridger helped me eat my banana and orange (--of course, it's always more exciting to eat fruit when it doesn't come from the fridge at home...)
