Apple Pickin'

Our good friend Brian and Clara invited us to pick apples with them back in September on their family's orchard!  And we had so much fun!!!  My kids love apples like nobody's business--so this was pretty much a dream come true!  I could pick apples all day long...really!  And now we are going to plant an apple tree in our yard!

Does it look like she's sitting in the middle of the road?  Well, she's not....for the record :)

And there were horses!  Friendly ones!!!  And no, Charlotte is not crying, she's "neighing".  She is an animal lover!  I would live on a farm for her sake...

Wardrobe change!!  Okay, really-this was our second trip to the orchard--this time with Kennedy's preschool.

Charlotte and Grace!

The green apples were my favorite!  I think between the three of us that day we ate 12 apples!  Yummy!!!

Isn't it gorgeous!

Kennedy's preschool--plus a few extra...

Thanks Brian and Clara again!  We picked enough apples to bottle applesauce to last us most of the year!  So nice!!!

Pumpkins Galore!!!

Fall--one of my very favorite times of year!  I love pumpkins--which probably explains why I had close to 20 on my front porch this year...they're still there in fact--I think they go with Thanksgiving too, don't you?

Kennedy went on a field trip with her preschool to the pumpkin patch.  They went on a pumpkin scavenger hunt, they had to find bumpy, smooth, orange, red, white and even blue pumpkins!  After wards, we warmed up in the back of my car with hot chocolate and pumpkin cookies.  We had a lot of fun!

And of course we went to Cornbelly's again this year.  We LOVE it there!  It was a perfect night too--kind of cold and rainy, so not many people were there.  perfect!  The pumpkin princess is always the thing we do first, Charlotte even got in on the dress up action--she just loves to do anything that her big brother and sister are doing!

These blow up horses are probably the event that caused my phone to fall out of my pocket.  Do you know how horrible it is to lose a phone?  Argh!  So frustrating!!!

No, she wasn't crying--she just always has tears in her eyes!

THEN, we got to go to a pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa and all of our cousins.  Grandma let the kids paint pumpkins in her heated and decorated garage (I should have taken pictures...there's even a lamp!!!) and she made us dinner in a pumpkin with hot scones.  We had a lot of fun there!

She has entered the picture posing stage--she never used to do this!  And I didn't give her any instruction!

We're still working on teaching Charlie how to pose...  She loved these white mini pumpkins--she would put them in the wheelbarrow and I would put them back--we did that the whole night :)  In the end, she got to keep 4 of them--and she was very happy about that!

Our cute cousin Madi!

Kennedy found the prettiest blue pumpkin!  I was kind of sad to see it get covered with paint...until she covered it with blue paint... ha!

Jordan--trust me--that pumpkin was heavier than it looked!

And Hudson.  He was so happy to have his own wheelbarrow!

And last but not least here are our pictures from the pumpkin patch on our family night.  We always got the last week in September for the best pumpkins!

See what I mean?  It's all about a really cook handle!

And of course we had to get some Cinderella pumpkins...

This was wheelbarrow #1

And wheelbarrow #2 :)
