My son, the Jedi

Isn't Disney just the most amazing place?  Really, when we first stepped up to the box office window to pay for our tickets I had a small stroke--still don't know if I've quite recovered from that loss--but still--soooo worth it and soooo magical!

This greeted us at Hollywood Studios (where we spent our first day) when we first walked in.  Bridger is dying to be a rock star so he was quite mesmerized by this!  He's always complaining that I never put him in guitar and drum lessons and he works on his breakdancing and beat boxing every single day!  Kennedy loves what she calls "princess rock" namely--Taylor Swift :)

And my little Charlotte is quite the little dancer--she's only 10 months old and she's got rhythm!

And then there's Jeremy--checking out the map.  He made sure we didn't miss anything good!

Does he look bored to you?  Don't mistake "mesmerized" for "boredom".  I think he's taking notes on some of those dance moves he saw....

If the whole rock star path doesn't work, there's always plan B--becoming a Jedi (Plan C is to become a Lego Engineer...)  And lucky for him he caught his big break!  Here he is showing us his moves on this spacecraft--right before he did a 360 on the seat and falling right off!  Poor kid was a little embarrassed :)

But we did what we could to get him into that Jedi Training and 45 minutes later, he was face to face with this:

But Darth Vader was no match for Bridger's death defying light saber grip!  He even yelled "I am not afraid!" and was able to thwart all of his attacks.  Way to go Bridger!  Just so you know, there was no "fun and games" during this special training event.  While a lot of the other kids were smiling, laughing and waving hello to their parents, Bridger was completely focused.  He never lost focus!  And just to warn you, he still uses the force--so beware!

Meanwhile, Charlotte faced the attack of the sweet potatoes and successfully devoured everything in sight!  Way to go Charlotte!

We love all the stunt shows at Hollywood Studios.  The Indiana Jones Stunt, Muppet 3D Movie, Backlot Studio Tour and this Car Stunt Show were so fun and entertaining!

Of course, Charlotte was pretty entertaining too :)

And there is always something for everyone!  Kennedy loved the Little Mermaid show.

And Beauty and the Beast....

It was perfect weather and a perfect day!  Hardly any wait to get into shows or on rides and the kids loved every minute of it!  I loved every minute of it too!  On our way out of the park, we came upon this shady character:

He was hiding behind trees, people and even his map!  He kept saying in a loud voice: "Nothing to see here!  I am NOT a celebrity!"  It was pretty funny.  Bridger went right up to him with my brother Sean and tried to ask him some questions, but he got scared and ran away!  He was trying to stay incognito and not doing a very good job :)

Stay tuned for the Magic Kingdom!

My Florida Family

Kennedy and my cute little niece, Neo.

Charlotte and her great grandpa Walt

My Mom, Grammy (who flew in from Montreal!) and little Neo.

I just want to eat her!!!! Don't you???

Charlotte with Doug--my BFF Lois' husband.

Kennedy and Grammy making dinner...

And it was good!

Who turns their head when a picture is being taken?!?  Grandpa and Glenda, that's who!

My brother Addison, his daughter and Charlotte.  I told Charlotte to take notes, but as soon as I snapped this picture, she started making her dinosaur sounds again...oh, well! :)

My BFF Lois!!!!!  How excited was I to see her!  Do I dare post a picture of when we were younger?  Wow.  Sooo embarrassing!  We met when we were 10 years old.  We were in the same primary class--I had 5 brothers and sisters and when she came over it was a  zoo!!!  My little brother was always dressed up like a doll, my little sister was always being thrown through the air (much to her delight...) and my other two brothers were always wanting to play barbies with us (hee hee)  We loved drinking Sunkist, we loved Sunflowers and we loved to make blueberry pies.  My favorite memories with her?  Jumping in the pool with all of our clothes on.  Girls Camp and Youth Conference.  Our engagement photos.  Not just one, but THREE matching sunflower dresses.  I blame our mothers for this....   All the times I talked in my sleep.  And all the times I could never wake her up!  Although, I did figure out that she wakes up if you throw a stuffed animal at her head.... And who could forget the kitchen fire?  I think I need to do a whole post on this....  We've lived away from each other since we were 15--almost 15 years!  But we have only become better friends through time :)  It was so fun to see her!  We went antique shopping that afternoon and then came home to find this.....

The boys wanting to jump in the pool.  Oh, it was kinda warm outside, but the water was still 50 degrees!

So, I took pictures :)

Our four generations photo

And seafood gumbo!!!  Yummy :)

Jeremy of course!

My crazy brother Addison, he works for the county animal control and boy does he have some stories!  Animal hoarders, anyone?

I told you you'd want to eat her....

I want to eat her too! :)

The fascination with the smart phone begins....

Bridger and his Grandpa

And it was Grammy's 80th birthday!  We celebrated with red velvet cake.

Kennedy and her G.G.

And we were privledged to be here for Neo's blessing.  My mom made her GORGEOUS dress and she looked like such a doll!  It was great timing because my Grandpa and Grandma came down and my Grammy, whom I haven't seen for a couple of years.  It was great to catch up and visit with my Florida family!

I just love this picture :)
