Buddy our Elf and Lego too...

Bridger has dreams of winning every Lego contest he sees in his Lego Magazines--so I am constantly taking pictures of all of his original creations.  One time he built a fighter jet and asked me to photoshop his hands out of it so that it would look like the jet was flying through the air :)

He even stages everything first, Love it!

And then there's Buddy, he's our elf.  And he is a good elf, but he does get into trouble a lot--for instance, one morning he toilet papered our tree, he played chess with Bridger's stuffed animals, he read 'Fancy Nancy' to Kennedy's barbies, he zip-lined across our kitchen, he ate half of the kids chocolate bear, and he even hid in real alligators mouth!

And look at our fun Christmas village!  Jeremy's mom gave it to us this year, it used to be hers and we feel so lucky to have it!  It's so magical :)

Wait!  here's another lego creation!

And then there's Charlotte... :)

Oh, and after I was taking all these pictures of Bridger, Kennedy wanted me to get some of her posing in front of her dollhouse.  Ha!

Light the Night 2011

We love going to Light the Night!  Free hot  chocolate and cookies, ice skating, horse drawn wagon rides, visits with Santa--it's the best!

Charlotte tried her hand at ice-skating and loved it.  I was kind of worried about her getting knocked over, since there were so many people out on the ice, so I had to hold her--which she did not like....poor girl!  We need to go again soon so she can have some more freedom!

Bridger hadn't skated for a while--so it was funny to watch him slipping and sliding all over the place!

And Kennedy too :)  Notice how there's no pictures of me?  I didn't want to embarrass myself--I am a Florida girl after all....this whole ice and snow thing is beyond me :)

Zoo Days

We went to the Zoo in the first part of December as part of their free zoo days they do during the winter.  Seriously, this is the best time to go if you ask me!  Sure, it's cold--but it beats melting in the heat of the summer!!!  And there is never anyone there--plus, the animals are very active, especially the tigers.

Charlotte was in her element here!  She impressed us with her very accurate interpretations of the animals--she waved and blew kisses to them all!

Pictures are so impossible sometimes!

The monkeys and meerkats went crazy over Charlotte for some reason!  They would go right up to the glass and stare at her--which she, of course, loved!  Maybe it was the hat??

And the big old giraffe's!

And as a sidenote....Do you know the difference between Ape's and Monkey's?  Ape's don't have tails!  Seriously--I didn't know that!  Knowledge is power people!!!

ski fun

While my brother Sean was in town, Jer took him, Kennedy and Bridger skiing.  I wish I had some action shots--but I wasn't there to snap any!  Bridger shed his edgie wedgies this year and loves to ski down the mountain on one leg--his signature move he likes to call the "hotdog".  He had a BIG crash on this day--picture a human snowball ending in a face plant--he was just going WAY too fast for his own good!  But no worries--it was the highlight of the day for him,  apparently he lives for danger!

Kennedy still ski's with Jeremy's assistance, but she sure has a lot of fun doing it!  Her favorite part?  Probably the fruit snacks and hot chocolate she eats on the lift up.

And Sean?  Well, I didn't hear any stories about him--but I can imagine he ski's fast and furious with absolutely no skill involved--just a bunch of limbs flying down the mountain!  Ha!

I'm living in a family of potentially expert skiers and I've only been twice!  Guess I should start practicing!!!

Chalk Art Adventures

Back in August, we got to participate in our city's annual Chalk Art Festival.  It took us quite a while to figure out what to draw--we finally decided on this fun picture we found online of a lego star wars storm trooper riding a bicycle.  It was a LITTLE harder than expected to draw...but it was really fun :)  We even won second place in the family division!  As a reward we got those oversized movie theater mugs that you can refill for a dollar and some popcorn and candy vouchers for the movies!  Fun!

It is so fun to color with chalk--so fun to mix all the colors!  Once you get it on the concrete, it's so easy to smooth all the colors together to get the perfect shade or variation.  However it is a MESSY job!  Bridger and I were covered in chalk!!!

Poor Charlotte was confined to her stroller for the first couple of hours until relief arrived (that would be Jeremy!).  She was very clever and figured out how to move her stroller around like a wheel chair--I even let her drink an entire strawberry milkshake (I know...parenting at its best!) but she still wasn't happy....I didn't really mind the screaming, but I think everyone else did!  So, I had to take a break and take care of her...geesh!  hee hee :)  (I couldn't let her out for fear that she would smudge someone else's artwork!)

Our entry number was F9 and Bridger decided to write it on a 'sign' to get more votes.  He was flinging it around like those sign holders at the car wash--and it worked!
