And....now it's Christmas!

I got to play my flute here last night!!!  In the Assembly Hall on Temple Square in Salt Lake City.  Every Christmas I play with Sounds of the Season--the South Jordan Community Choir.  It was an amazing night to be on Temple Square.  After 24 hours of falling snow--it looked like a winter wonderland.  The light were gorgeous too.

I didn't take these first two pictures--I didn't even have my camera--just a cell phone.  It was even prettier than this though, if you can imagine--because the snow was still falling.

Jeremy's parents were able to come with us to the concert.  As I was sitting up on stage--it was fun looking down at them in the first row.  I could see Charlotte getting her mouth stuffed with baby snacks from 4 little hands (Bridger's and Kennedy's...).  Kennedy was thumbing through a hymn book and everytime I looked at her she got embarrassed.  And then Bridger was staring off into space at one point raising and lowering his eyebrows over and over again.  I was so glad they could all come--to hear the Christmas music and see the lights.  Such a fun memory!

p.s. if anyone wants to (wink wink)  we are playing again at Bingham High School on December 10 and 11 at 7:00

Thankful...

We had a great Thankgiving this year!  My parents and brother Sean came up from Florida and we enjoyed tons of food and family time.  We started Thankgiving morning making up some cute Turkeys--the only variety that the kids will eat!  Okay, in their defense they did eat turkey...and rolls...maybe one green bean?  That's probably it though...

Cute, huh?  Bridger made his all by himself--it's the one on the right with the drippy eye...

Maisie and Charlotte couldn't make any this year, but they had a good time watching everyone else.  Well, Charlotte didn't have that great of a time, I guess--she desperately wanted to eat one!

And this year, for the first time, we (well, my brother Jordan...) fried our Thanksgiving turkey.  Is that redneck, or what?  You can tell we were raised in the south!  We even considered having a whole fried feast...I don't know---that's probably too much... :)

It was freezing outside!

Jeremy, my mom and sister Rebecca.

Isn't this bird the cutest?  He sits in the pie and lets the steam out--he's supposed to prevent dripping too--but after my kitchen filled up with smoke, I've decided that his main purpose is just to be cute.

My newest niece--Regan Clara  (and my dad)

My sis-in-law Kimalee, Vanessa, Maisie and Rebecca

Our Feast!

Stuffing (my sis-in-law Emilee gave me this recipe and it is my FAVORITE!  it has pine nuts in it, and I LOVE pine nuts!) and our sweet potato mallow.  Vanessa made this--and according to her "cooks don't need to use measuring cups" --which she didn't.  Hmmm.....

Mashed potatoes and gravy

Green beans with toasted almonds

Rolls

Homemade cranberry sauce.  That canned stuff gives me the heebie jeebies.  I don't know why...it just does.

Oh, and mushroom turnovers!  these things are divine!

I got to use my new remote control for my camera (exciting!!!) and it was still hard to get a decent picture!

Sisters....Sisters...never were there such devoted sisters...

Sean....did you get camera happy???

And for dessert we had the harvest fruit and walnut pie that I made and Jordan made a sweet potato pie and pumpkin cheesecake.

I have so much to be thankful for--I enjoyed hearing what everyone was thankful for as we went around the table too.  Happy Thanksgiving!

New Dresses and New Nieces!

My family came up from Florida for Thanksgiving this year, and my mom brought with here these adorable dresses that she made for Kennedy and Charlotte!  They are sooooo cute!

My mom made one of these dresses for Maisie too--but she didn't fit!  Guess she's grown a lot in her short 4 month life--she weighs more than Charlotte!  But she is such a cutie--Charlotte just loves to play with her.

Lay by her....

Stare at her....

Squish her..... oops...

And otherwise abuse her....  Hopefully she won't be such a bully when Maisie can defend herself!

My brother Addison and his wife Mabulane had their baby 8 weeks early!  She was finally able to come home the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  She is just over 5 lbs. now--and she is such a cutie!  I can't wait to give her real kisses and let Charlotte tromp all over her too! :) They were able to skype with us on Thanksgiving--but for obvious reasons, couldn't make the trip.

And then there's cute Reagan!  She was born on November 17th--right on her due date!  She is a doll--and so tiny compared to my monster baby!  She smells delicious too...  It's so fun having all these nieces!!! Now.....nephews anyone???
