I love to see the Temple...

On Tuesday night we were able to go to the Draper Temple Open House. It was so gorgeous! I was so excited to brink Kennedy and Bridger here too (otherwise they would have to wait until they're 12 or older) Bridger was ecstatic! He asked me over and over if he was going to see Heavenly Father and Jesus there--he said: "I want to see them so bad! Do you think they'll be here tonight?" I told him that I didn't know if he would see them or not, but he would definetly feel them in his heart. He reluctantly accepted that answer! While I'm on the subject, I should add that Bridger is infatuated with heaven and God--does God wear shoes? Where is heaven? Does Heavenly Father and Jesus use the stars for stairs to come visit us? How come I can't see them, if they can see me? Does the Holy Ghost wear shoes? (don't know why he asks so many questions about shoes...)
Kennedy, although she is still small, also loved it! She yelled "Temple!" and "Jesus!" as loud and energetic as she could throughout all the whispering of the temple. It was sweet--at least to me--hopefully she didn't disturb anyone!

I love studying all of the details within the temple. The glass is etched with flowers, the paint, moldings and rugs are amazing!

All of the temple pictures are from this website:

There is also more information there if anyone has any questions (or you can just ask!)

We went with Jer's parents--what a wonderful opportunity! Gotta love living in Utah!

Bridger was bursting with excitement! He had his suit picked out for days--and after I ironed it--he tried to be very careful not to put too many wrinkles in it :) He is also very proud these days to be able to do up all of his buttons by himself--and he just loves making faces for the camera!

Kennedy? Well, if you ask--she has to wear a bow and she demands her fur coat--she loves her squeaky shoes best, but they were a little too loud for the temple... We kept her happy with little pieces of candy. "Temple!"

So this whole post I am thinking, "LINDSAY!! I don't think you allowed to take pictures inside the temple!! And...how did you get such good ones??!!"

I'm better now. I love the reactions that the kids had. I so love all the decor in the temples, that rug is GORGEOUS, as is everything frankly. :)

What a wonderful night. The kids will cherish those pictures when they get older, and won't be able to believe that they were allowed to go through the whole temple! Wasn't Bridger freezing without a winter coat on?

Sounds like a wonderful evening. I love that bridger was asking so many questions and so into it all! How long is the open house going?

We went last Saturday and loved every minute of it. It was so beautiful. It thinks it is great that kids are able to see it. My sister was able to go and it was great for her because she is getting married in less than one month and she was able to see the temple before she gets to go in it. She was asking lots of questions as well. I thought it was beautiful but man lots of stairs.

What a good opportunity to see the inside of the temple. It is so beautiful and I am glad that your family got to go together. The whole time I kept thinking, wow I can't believe Lindsay was allowed to take pictures! Lois and I had the same thoughts.

Love you!
