My Daughter The Princess...

Wow!  Is really taking me a long time to blog about this trip!  But it is kind of nice to savor the memory--it always feels warmer outside to me when I look at pictures of Florida :)

This day we went to the Magic Kingdom--my very very favorite place!  The kids were going to have breakfast with the princesses in Cinderella's Castle--sooo exciting!!!  Naturally, Kennedy dressed up as Cinderella and since there are pirates in Disney, Bridger dressed up too.

We got there before the gates opened, which was fun, they do a show and sing a song and then let everyone in, we got to see a lot of princesses here, Kennedy was in awe!

See?  Jasmine and Aladdin and Princess Tiana!

Gotta love these smiles!  Even Chip, Bridger's parrot looks like he's smiling :)

The Volunteer Fire Chief--really the MC of the morning parade, let the kids hold his plastic fire ax and took a picture with them.  He is the one that informed us of the pirate training that Bridger could take part in...more on that later.

She even walks like a princess...she didn't want to get her dress dirty before she met her "friends".

There it is!  I think I was more excited than they were!

There were many girls dressed up, but of course Kennedy was the cutest :)  Cinderella stopped to admire all that they had in common.  And then Bridger and Chip walked over, but he was being really shy.  I think he may have thought she was pretty :)

Hug!

Breakfast was actually pretty good.  I was surprised!

The girls were each given a magic wand and Bridger received a prince's sword, boy was he excited about that!  Then they all had wishing stars.  And during breakfast, the lights went down and there were twinkling lights in the ceiling and all the kids got to make a wish.  Naturally, Bridger wished for all the legos in the world...Kennedy wished for a new princess dress--Mulan's.

Then the princesses started coming around!  Snow White was the first one--and are they ever realistic!  She had such a sing-song voice, it was really cute!  Kennedy and Bridger were pretty much frozen the whole time, but Charlotte sure put on a show!  She LOVED the princesses!

Just look at the way she is looking at Snow White!  She would crane her neck around to look at her face and she just wouldn't stop smiling!  Snow White must have thought Charlotte was pretty cute too, because she gave her a great big kiss on her forehead!  For the rest of the day, Charlotte sported a red lipstick stain, and it was funny that everyone who saw her automatically knew that she had been kissed by a princess :)

See?  She loved Sleeping  Beauty too :)

The Little Mermaid--Kennedy's favorite.  And she was quick to inform my that Ariel was wearing "a modest dress, that covers her arms and stomach..."  Oh, boy :)

And last, we met Belle.  I think she was Bridger's favorite--although Charlotte couldn't keep her eyes off her either!

See the kiss?  Soooo cute!

Right as we walked out of Cinderella's castle, we met the wicked stepmother and stepsisters.  There was a long line of people waiting to get their pictures taken with them, but when the spotted Kennedy (standing there gawking with her mouth open...), they said: "Just because you're Cinderella doesn't mean you get a fast pass to come and see us!"  Kennedy didn't know what to say!  She asked my why they said that to her and I told her that they were just mean step sisters.  Then she got it :)

Peter Pan!  Bridger assured him that he as a good pirate and NOT Captain Hook!

And Mary Poppins!  This is one of my very favorite movies!  Kennedy got to hold her parasol and Charlotte couldn't stop staring again.

My mom loved Cinderella too.  In fact, I wish I was in more of these pictures!  I was the picture taker...

Oh wait, here I am!  On the carousal, one of my favorites.  But my absolute favorite is the Haunted Mansion.  I LOVE that ride--it's just so fun and creative, plus I love Halloween in general.

Cute little Pinnochio.

Donald Duck

And Sleeping Beauty...

After we saw Donald, we saw Goofy, dressed as a pirate, coming out of a building.  He saw Bridger, a fellow pirate, and ran to him and grabbed his hand.  Kennedy held on to his other hand and they walked all the way to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, where they had a little sword fight and then got Goofy's autograph.  It was so cute--totally made Bridger's day :)

Then we conquered Thunder Mountain.  Kennedy rode it first, Bridger was a little nervous...can you see Kennedy?  Maybe if you enlarge the picture?  She is on the second row--she had her hands up in the air the entire time!  She loved it!  I showed Bridger and he decided to give it a try.  I think he secretly liked it, although he did have a death grip on the handles and vowed to "probably never ride again".  Oh, well!

Now it was time for the Pirate Training.  We hoped they would pick Bridger--since he's such a cute pirate!

Captain Jack Sparrow came out on deck (pretty sure it was really Johnny Depp...) and did pick Bridger! He said it was 2 for the price of 1 and asked what his parrot's name was :)

Bridger learned how to sword fight and then took a pirate's oath, but then later told me he didn't want to be a pirate and live under the pirate's code.  When I asked why, he said that he didn't want to live on a ship in the ocean away from me and Jer.  Awwww!

Kennedy took the oath too--she had no problem with it :)

During the parade, Woody bowed to Princess Kennedy.  She got a LOT of bows from people that day!

Pluto--our last stop before the Ferry ride home.  Such a fun day!  Makes me want to do it all again---today!
