My First Tag!!!

A. The rules of this game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, and then leaves a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

Questions:

10 yrs ago: Okay, I was 15 and a sophomore in highschool. What was I doing? Well, I was in the band, so I was probably involved in some kind of spring musical or something. And since I was living in Florida at this time, I'm sure I was enjoying the warm weather and the beach--which I am really missing right now! I was probably also counting down the days to my 16th birthday (doesn't every girl do that?)

5 Things on my list of things to do today: I have to finish Kennedy's easter dress (by Sunday...yikes!), I have to make dinners tonight (for my dinner group...chicken pot pie). I have to go to the doctor (Kennedy needs a flu shot and I think I have a sinus infection...not fun...). I need to RSVP to Jeremy's cousin's wedding shower and I have to go to Broadbent's today to buy some thread--which will help me accomplish task #1. Oh, and I am trying to forget about all the mundane tasks that need to be completed....laundry...bathrooms...and grocery shopping...

Things I would do if I was suddenly a Billionaire: I will try to keep the list short--even though there are a billion things I would do... Of course I would pay off the house and then make it exactly the way I want it. I would travel--probably to Spain first (that's where Jeremy went on his mission) I would create a charity to help women in third world countries and then I would bank the rest and live off the interest for the rest of my life (don't I sound like Jeremy now? :))

3 of my bad habits: The first one is a little weird--I extremely dislike when the pillows are off the couch (the decorative ones...)this habit is really annoying too--cause Bridger is always throwing them off--I probably put the pillows back on the couch (in the proper order) 50 times a day...I have serious pillow issues. My second habit revolves around the 409. I feel the need to disinfect everything! I am always spraying counters, stove, microwave, sink, remote control and telephone with the 409, but I guess that habit benefits other people, right? When I was pregnant with Bridger I couldn't find the 409 anywhere--searched the house for it. Finally, around dinner time I found it in the freezer (that just proves that you really do lose braincells while pregnant...) it was all slushy. :) And my last bad habit? Never going to the doctor...I diligently take Bridger and Kennedy but I can't remember the last time I went to the doctor just because I was sick--Probably 6 years ago when I had mono...I think I have had a sinus infection for almost 3 weeks--I even put going on my to do list in hopes that I would actually go! I'm not afraid of the doctor or anything, I just never get around to it I guess...

Places I have lived: Here we go: Searcy and Little Rock, Arkansas (born there); Crestview, Callaway, Lynn Haven, Marianna and then Lynn Haven, Florida again; Calgary, Canada; St. George and South Jordan, Utah; Houston, Texas; and now Saratoga Springs!

Jobs I have had: My first job was a car hop at Sonic (Luckily, I didn't have to wear rollerskates, but I made really good tips!!!) I also made all the drinks and to this day whenever I smell a lime I instantly think of my good ole days at Sonic. Then, I worked at Old Navy, Tropsicals (a glorified snow cone shack, I was the manager--arent' you impressed?), Then Outrageous Teriyaki a little teriyaki sushi place. I learned how to use a wok (and flip the stir fry), chop really fast with a big knife, and how to make California rolls--it was really fun. I worked mostly with a couple from Mexico--I taught them English and they taught me Spanish, but it didn't stick too well. I was working here during the time I started dating Jeremy. Then, while at BYU I worked at an after school program at an elementary school in Provo--I taught musical theater (dont' ask why...) and at the end of the school year we put on a musical, The Ugly Duckling--the kids were so great in it!!! My last paying job was as a Homeless Assistant at Midvale Middle School, I helped track the needs of the homeless students at the school. I worked out of the attendance office with Rhonda (whom I love!!!) and we had a lot of fun. Now I am a house master and mother--by far the hardest but most rewarding job ever! :)

Okay, so now it's my turn to tag. I tag Lois and Doug, Kahlia and Leigh--have fun!

That was fun to read!

I am glad that you can admit to yourself that you have a pillow and 409 problem. Because seriously you do fix the pillows on the couch every 2 seconds (sometimes when people, like me, are still sitting on them!!) and like I have said for YEARS (and I know Jeremy agrees)....the 409 addiction is getting more serious every day and needs to be dealt with frankly. :)

So happy to see your blog Lindsay! I love it! I was glad to see that someone else has a pillow problem. Elliott throws them off all day long, so I'm fixing them all day long. Some days I think I'll just get rid of them, but then the couch looks so plain! :) Can't wait to see Kennedy's dress!

Lindsey,
I used to have a pillow fettish as well, just give it a few more kids and a few more years of marriage and then even though it will still be important to you there will be much more pressing issues. :o) Enjoy these early years while you have them!
Add my blog to your page it will be fun to keep up with you.

What an incredible blog! I couldn't get the smile off my face as I read all about your life. You really are talented! I can hardly wait to see Kennedy in her dress. By the way, when you worked at Outrageous Teriyaki, you forgot to mention that you almost chopped off your finger while using that sharp knife... I love everyone's nicknames too.
