My Freebie Dresses

Okay, so I just had to share this fabulous idea for dress making that I just found. I just made this dress for Kennedy out of an old button down shirt of mine--isn't that crazy? It was super easy cause you preserve the buttons (for the back) and her sleeves were my short capped sleeve turned upside down (does that make sense?). Anyway, the dress still needs some tweaking (it's a little immodest right now--her sleeves keep falling off her shoulders...) but I think it turned out pretty cute, and best of all---it was completely free! I love free stuff. Now, I am tempted to cut up all of my (and Jeremy's for that matter) shirts--she looks way cuter than I ever did!

So, before anyone goes to the D.I.--will you please drop off your cute patterned but ill fitting shirts to me?? :)

Cute! You're so creative Linds! My sis-in-law did something like that with one of Adam's old cowboy shirts. It turned out so cute- her little girl wore cowboy boots with it!

You are so talented!! There aren't many people that can make a cute dress out of an old shirt!! I'm telling you...we need to have an enrichment night on you teaching us all how to make these cute things!!

That dress looked fabulous on Kennedy the other day! I can't believe you made it! Is there anything you can't do Lindsay?

Speaking from 15 years experience...No, there isn't anything that Lindsay cannot do. It's rediculous but yet we love her. :) Her level of talent is frankly off the charts, unable to even measure. Such a cute dress!!

oh my gosh--you people are so nice. I have to clarify--this was not my original idea. I didn't develop the pattern--I just copied. I am a really good copier! :)
