My Baby!!!

Kennedy is two years old today. My how time flies. She is the funnest and cutest little girl and I can't help but squeeze her cheeks and kiss her all over every single day. And tonight--she was wearing the cutest little pajamas and I kissed her and kissed her until she screamed at me. It sounds horrible, I know, but I'm the mom and I can do what I want. :)
What can I say? Girls are fun! I found this ADORABLE dollhouse in the classifieds--someone was basically giving it away. I have always wanted one, so I decided to live out my childhood dreams through my children. That's psychologically stable, right???

Okay, it's hard to tell, but I'm going to give you a run down on this little house: There is stained glass on the front door and the little window above it. The door and windows open and close and each window has it's own lace curtains--so cute! There is a lot of scroll work--some of it is broken, but that's okay--just saves my kids the trouble of doing it in the future. There is a big wrap around porch and flower pots on the side. Even a little bird house hangs from the eaves! It is kind of fragile, which I have to keep telling Kennedy over and over since she tries to squeeze her chubby little body into the kitchen to eat breakfast with her dolls. How she wishes she could shrink to fit! Poor girl--it just ain't gonna happen...

All the walls have vintage style wall paper--some of which needs to be re-glued. there are wood floors and two fireplaces! Let's be honest--sometimes I wish that I could shrink to fit in here!

The thing is ginormous--she is standing up in this picture. But you don't think about practical issues like that when you are making an impulse purchase :)
And Bridger.....oh, Bridger. He loves playing with Kennedy and her dollhouse. But his style of playing is just a little different than hers.... First order of business? Well, the house is on fire. So, he ran and got his firetruck and saved the day. Next? Garbage day. He ran and got his garbage truck to take out the trash. Yes, Bridger really knows how to keep civilization thriving--he takes care of all of the houses civic duties. What a good boy. And sometimes he likes to play with the dolls too...

This morning for breakfast, we made pink waffles, with pink strawberries and pink strawberry milk on pink plates with a pink fork and a pink cup and a pink birthday candle. There. I have sucessfully and validly used the word "pink" 7 times in one sentence. She was pleased. This girl loves pink more than anything. For example, the other night when I was putting her to bed, I always sing "twinkle twinkle little star". Well, this night she stopped me in the middle and said: "No, mommy. I want a pink one. I want a pink star. Sing 'pinkle pinkle little star'." Really? Was she serious? Yes, she was. Now I have to sing her 'pinkle pinkle' and she'll correct me if I forget. She is out of her mind! And change of subject, but I also have to add that this girl has the best fuzzy bed head ever! See for yourself!!!
Kennedy takes great care of her pink babies (that's what she calls them...) She always sings to them, changes their diapers, rocks them and feeds them, she'll read them books and then drop the books on their heads....did I say great? Well, she's pretty good...

And the girl loves to play dress up. Only it's not dress up in her mind. This is real. This is her "let's go grocery shopping" getup. Really, we went grocery shopping and she looked just like this for three hours--only she had her sunglasses on too. People--I am not like this! I admit to liking some jewlery but I have never cared for pink and I try to accessorize in moderation! This girl is all over the place! Makeup...purses...nail polish...jewlery...princess shoes...dresses...even perfume! She loves to watch me get ready in the morning (or sometimes afternoon...) and she especially loves it if I let her sample everything. I guess there's nothing wrong with it. I mean, it is kind of fun. Just as long as she doesn't expect any special treatment...as long as she still likes to get dirty...then I guess I'm okay.
I said: "Smile like a princess!" and this is what I got. Pretty kissable, huh? Happy Birthday, Kennedy!
