Fall--one of my very favorite times of year! I love pumpkins--which probably explains why I had close to 20 on my front porch this year...they're still there in fact--I think they go with Thanksgiving too, don't you?
Kennedy went on a field trip with her preschool to the pumpkin patch. They went on a pumpkin scavenger hunt, they had to find bumpy, smooth, orange, red, white and even blue pumpkins! After wards, we warmed up in the back of my car with hot chocolate and pumpkin cookies. We had a lot of fun!
And of course we went to Cornbelly's again this year. We LOVE it there! It was a perfect night too--kind of cold and rainy, so not many people were there. perfect! The pumpkin princess is always the thing we do first, Charlotte even got in on the dress up action--she just loves to do anything that her big brother and sister are doing!
These blow up horses are probably the event that caused my phone to fall out of my pocket. Do you know how horrible it is to lose a phone? Argh! So frustrating!!!
No, she wasn't crying--she just always has tears in her eyes!
THEN, we got to go to a pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa and all of our cousins. Grandma let the kids paint pumpkins in her heated and decorated garage (I should have taken pictures...there's even a lamp!!!) and she made us dinner in a pumpkin with hot scones. We had a lot of fun there!
She has entered the picture posing stage--she never used to do this! And I didn't give her any instruction!
We're still working on teaching Charlie how to pose... She loved these white mini pumpkins--she would put them in the wheelbarrow and I would put them back--we did that the whole night :) In the end, she got to keep 4 of them--and she was very happy about that!
Our cute cousin Madi!
Kennedy found the prettiest blue pumpkin! I was kind of sad to see it get covered with paint...until she covered it with blue paint... ha!
Jordan--trust me--that pumpkin was heavier than it looked!
And Hudson. He was so happy to have his own wheelbarrow!
And last but not least here are our pictures from the pumpkin patch on our family night. We always got the last week in September for the best pumpkins!
See what I mean? It's all about a really cook handle!
And of course we had to get some Cinderella pumpkins...
This was wheelbarrow #1
And wheelbarrow #2 :)

I love pumpkins! And yes- pumpkins stay on our porch through Thanksgiving too. I always hate getting rid of them...
I love all your pictures!
First of all...the ONLY thing I want for my birthday next week is the picture of Jeremy on that horse in a frame. Pretty please?
Now that that is out of the way...Seriously adorable photos!!!!! And I can't believe how big the Nielson cousins are getting.
I have never seen such a beautiful pumpkin patch! I love the photos of all the kids, what great memories. Your front porch looked beautiful and I agree, pumpkins work through Thanksgiving.
It sounds like you had many fun pumpkin adventures!! I especially love the pumpkin with the huge fat stem... that is crazy. I guess we need to start going at the end of September to get the awesome pumpkins :). I love all of your pics!
Your kids are as cute as ever! I love this time of year too. Looks like you are having so much fun and enjoying all that the season has to offer.
