Bear Lake

We had so much fun at Bear Lake! I had never actually been there before, so it was fun to go exploring. The weather was pretty nice--stayed in the 70s most of the time, so we were able to do lots of fun outside things.

Swimming was a nightly occurrence, Kennedy loved splashing everyone (including herself) in the water--and would laugh hysterically if you screamed when she did it. And I just have to say that it was soooo fun buying her a cute little frilly bathing suit--she looked so cute in it!
Bridger--overly obsessed with his beachball--learned to swim all by himself (thanks to the aid of a life jacket, of course)--he never wanted to get out of the water, so we had to bribe him with ice cream or a bubble bath--what a nut.
These pics are of our picnic at the Logan Tabernacle on our way home (a little out of order...). Kennedy is chowing down on some pizza--she is such an eater! Bridger runs away between every bite, but Kennedy won't budge until her cavernous belly is full.

Of course, in Bear Lake, you have to have your fill of raspberry shakes. We did, trust me. We had ice cream everyday, two times a day--it was insane. Here is our little elfish Bridger eyeing my raspberry shake.
Pretty flowers--they were hanging outside the hometown burger place, I just had to take some pictures in front--too bad I couldn't get any real smiles out of my kids....

Now this should make headlines---Bridger actually fell asleep in my arms!!! While watching Animal Planet, he fell asleep on the couch, I couldn't believe it (I am even smiling in the picture, I was so happy with myself)--he hasn't slept in my arms since the day I left the hospital when he was born (true story!!!)

Cute kids--poor Kennedy--her eyes are such a light blue, she is so sensitive to light--she always tears up when I take her outside.
Here is our double decker bike--we went for a long bike ride one day. It was so much fun! Jer and I took turns driving and holding Kennedy (she didn't last too long in the basket). But Bridger loved sitting up front, he was in charge of waving and ringing the bell and he did a great job!
Here we are at Bear Lake, it was a little overcast so you can't see how blue the lake was, but it was so pretty. Such a turquoise color, I loved it!

Another shake, are you surprised?

I've only been to Bear Lake once, but it was enough to have me sold! The water is beautiful, and you can actually see your feet when you are in it..not like some lakes where the water is so dark your wondering what is swimming around you...that freaks me out..I am afraid of the water! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!

Bear Lake is awesome. We usually stay at Ideal Beach - but couldn't get in this year! I'm with you with the frilly swimsuits. Avery got one as a gift and I'm hoping she fits into it this summer at one point. Even if she doesn't, she'll wear it! I'm glad y'all had fun. You have such a cute little family.
