An update....

Here is an update of what my kids have been doing lately: Bridger thinks that having old tires for next door neighbors is the best thing ever. He plays in the dirt all day long (and to be honest, I don't mind...). And every morning he says: "What are we going to do today, Mom?" and I had better have a good answer! He only cries because he wants more candy (which is suprisingly often...) and he loves to go to the library--he doesn't have the patience to learn to write his name, but he has every book in his room memorized. Lately, his service to the family has been to inform us of the different dinosaurs that are still alive and threatening our community. There's the "mack-o-saurus"--he eats up everybody's macaroni and cheese and the "bead-o-saurus" eats houses and lives under the roads--watch out everybody! And Bridger's other love is the radio. Heaven forbid if I change the channel in the middle of the song.... You can find him singing such lyrics as:

  • "I've got a submarine, you've got gasoline, let's not talk about a war between nations" (U2)
  • "It was a long and cold december, from the rooftops I remember there was snow, white snow" (Coldplay)
  • "You might be a big fish, in a little pond" (Coldplay again--they're his favorite)
  • "I hate that stupid old pickup truck you never let me drive" (Taylor Swift)
  • "I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairytale" (Taylor Swift--he won't admit it but I think she's his favorite too)
  • "Cowgirls don't cry. Ride baby ride." (Brooks and Dunn)

Now onto Kennedy--I think she has reached the 'terrible two's' and she's not even two yet! What am I going to do with her??? This is the face she makes on a regular basis. It's the "I'm-going-to-make-this-face-until-I-get-what-I-want-or-until-my-face-gets-tired" face. Seriously, she was so easy before, now she is so demanding!

And sometimes, if you're lucky, she'll clench her fists and her body will shake--it is truly a sight to behold! Why is she even crying here?? I mean, she is licking the spoon, is she not?
But I am enjoying her talking more--she has the sweetest, softest voice and she is starting to say so much! "I want lipstick." "Bridger's cute." "Where's my purse?" "I want chocate." "Grandpa's in Forida." "Where's Kendede's Daddy?" "I need a tissue." (as she is unrolling the whole roll of toilet paper!!)
Since she loves all things girly, I attempted to paint her finger and toe nails red the other day. She hated every minute of it. I only got half done. Bridger on the other hand, didn't think it was fair the Kennedy was the only one to have bloody nails, he wanted bloody nails too. Needless to say, he sat very still for me--I hope Kennedy paid close attention. :)

That is hilarious that Bridger wanted bloody fingernails! Finn is getting at that terrible 2 stage and he is pretty far from being 2! lately he is into screaming at the top of his lungs to get what he wants...it's extremely annoying! It was great seeing you the other day, even if it was only for a second!

Ahhh, motherhood, ain't it great? We moved when Gage was the same age as Kennedy and he was the one who had the hardest transition, went from sweet to monster - good luck!

I am right there with you, as you know. Faith is as much fun in that dpt as Kennedy! Love that Bridger knows the words to all those songs! Tommy also gets mad if I change a song that we are listening too, or he will tell me to change it if he doesn't approve. Funny kids we have.

The picture of Bridger by the tires is so cute. I want to squeeze him! It's great that he enjoys playing on his own and using his imagination. Kennedy.....oh Kennedy........why was she screaming while licking the beater? That is quite some scream! Then the innocent look with the big blue eyes! I'm glad you're enjoying every moment.

Ok, you totally scored on the dirt next door! My kids would be in heaven! Dirt just may well be better than neighbors. :) And I'm right with you with the 'pre terrible twos.' What happened to the innocence?!

Bridger is so cute . Olivia and Connor would have so much fun in that dirt too. Kennedy reminds me of Connor with the screaming face . He does the same thing and his whole body shakes and he kicks on the floor . He is almost 3 and I am hoping he will grow out of it soon. LOL

Seams like the kids have adjusted quit well to the move. In the words of my grandsons, Kennedy is such a girl. I love it.

Lindsy, facebook is on the blink. Maybe it's me that's on the blink.
We couldn't build the Hamlett home because it could only be put on a ally way. We found a perfect piece of property on a corner on the same street as the temple. We went to Richmond homes, she gave us a flyer on the homes that could be built on that piece of property. I took it home. It wasn't really us, I feel like we're more coloneal. It's arts and craft, however I decided on one of the three. Elevation A! After a long of back and forth, they say we can't build that one, we can only build elevation C. We've decided that it's too much stretch, it's not us. So, we'll stay put where we are and save allot of money.
