Yes, Bridger thought we were going to a "toilet" festival, but really, we went to the tulip festival. It's not suprising he has toilets on the brain--he is obsessed with port-a-potty's right now. He wants to know what they're for, who uses them and why. He thinks they're called a "box-of-bathrooms
" and when I told him they're really "port-a-potty's, he burst out laughing and thought that was such a silly name....go figure...
" and when I told him they're really "port-a-potty's, he burst out laughing and thought that was such a silly name....go figure...Anyway, we had a great time at the tulip festival. It was so beautiful!!! Tuilps of every shape and color. My favorites were those coral colored ones with all the ruffly edges.

I really wanted a picture of Kennedy smelling the tulips--but everytime she went to smell them, she pulled on them--I was nervous that we were going to be "those parents" that let their kids pick flowers at the tulip festival, so I gave up on my cute idea for a picture. :)

Bridger loved climbing up on this bridge and tried to coach Kennedy to do the same, but her little legs were just too short.

To take this picture, Jer told the kids to hold hands and count to 20. So Bridger grabbed Kennedy's hand and proceeded to count to 20 while yelling at the top of his lungs--so much for preserving a serene environment for people.

The main thing that caught Bridger's eye was that huge grass hill--he rolled up and down that thing for as long as we'd let him. Kennedy tried to roll, but unfortunately for her, she's just not that coordinated yet. However, she was wearing a fresh pair of squeaky shoes that her grammy just bought for her (Grammy also made those cute ruffly pants)--the squeaks are soooo loud! Of course she wanted to walk the whole time, so all you could hear--from miles away---was "squeak. squeak. squeak. squeak"--I'm afraid we were quite distracting. Good thing she's cute. :)
