Bridger's rendition of Angry Birds...pretty accurate I think!
I have a stash of post-it notes in my desk drawer with little stories scribbled all over them. I have been saving my Bridger-isms (and now Kennedy and Charlotte-sims) for quite a while now! It's finally time to share :)

Bridger, now that he is getting bigger loves to make Jeremy and I breakfast in bed. And what a treat and a delight it is!
Sugar with toast.

Yum-o. Usually served with a glass of hot tap water. Bless his heart :) And as hard as it is to choke it down...there is one member of our family who loves this breakfast treat:

Bridger is OBSESSED with legos! He has a list from now until his birthday 2025 of all the lego sets he wants for his birthday and Christmas. Wow. In the picture above, he wanted me to take a picture of his lego rocket ship and then crop him out of it so that it looks like his rocket is flying all by itself.
Hmmmm.....easier said than done, little guy :)
Here he is modeling with his lego space station. Someone signed him up for that free lego magazine and he wants to enter every contest he possibly can! This was the last contest. He's still waiting for his life-time supply of legos to arrive in the mail. One time...a long time ago...we were watching Ellen and a little boy on the show received a whole pile of lego sets.
Bridger let out this huge grunt of despair.
Oh the humanity!
Bridger did get the opportunity to be Super Kid in his kindergarten class. It was also inside-out day...in case you were wondering why his clothes were inside out...
He got really shy when he had to tell all of his friends his "favorites" but I think he secretly loved every minute of it!

And he LOVES to draw--here is a picture he drew for me to send in to the Friend Magazine. We've been waiting months for it to be published--can anybody out there put in a good word for him??? :)

Oh, and isn't this the cutest Frankenstein you've ever seen?!?
Other Bridger-isms:
-- "I wish I had a garbage can in my room. You know, Mom, a lot of kids have their own garbage cans! Why can't I?"
-- The other day, while eating dinner, Kennedy went to get napkins for everybody--without being asked. When she returned, I simply said: "Kennedy, thank you! You read my mind!" To which Bridger responded with "Ugghh! When am I ever going to get my mind powers!"
--I didn't really know the answer to that last one, but I know it was really bothering him, because a week later he came home from school completely ecstatic! "Mom! I finally discovered what powers I have! It's the magic page turning powers! Today at school, I needed to turn to the letter 'O' in my letter book. I just thought about it and then opened my book and it was already to the letter 'O'!"
And then there's Kennedy:
Here is a picture of her sad swollen lip after she fell down up at the Gateway. It was the saddest thing ever. Don't let the smile fool you. It took a good 2 hours to get to this point...
And she loves to dress herself. And she does such a great job, don't you think?
This must be one of the most glamorous moments in her little life--the day she got to wear Grammy's wedding dress. Oh boy, was she in heaven!

And pajamas are never too casual for lipstick!
20 coats of lipstick...

Hopping...one of her favorite things to do. (Picture taken by Bridger...)
Other Kennedy-isms:
-- Yesterday she gave me the list of what she wants for her birthday dinner (in July...) It was crab legs, potato salad, key lime pie yogurt and a cake with Tangled on it. Oh. Boy.
-- Back in February, she asked me this question: "What do you do on Stake President's Day?" She meant 'President's Day'...
-- "Mom? Do bunnies dry their tears with their ears?"
Ummm. Yes.
"Oh, but they blow their nose with a tissue?"
Of course Kennedy!
-- "What are you doing on your date tonight with dad?"
I'm not sure, what would you do if you were going on a date with dad?
"You mean Bridger?"
Yes.
"I'd probably buy my kids a suprise. Like... my little girl a new Mulan doll. My little boy a new box of legos and my little baby a Lalaloopsie Doll. But I can play with it until she gets older..."
Very clever my dear!
-- "Mom, why don't you ever wear this shirt anymore?"
Because it's too big.
"Oh, you mean small?"
No. Big.
"Oh, small?"
No! Big!
Then she just stares at me with eyebrows raised....
And last but definitely not least is my little Charlotte Leigh.
She is LOVED by many.
And she is really bad.
Really really bad.
but really cute.
Really really cute.
I'd say she really only has one fault. She likes to eat other babies. I'm trying to get her to quit though.
She just turned 1 on Saturday. 1. Can you believe it! It's exciting and depressing all at the same time! I'm excited to watch her grow but sad for her to lose her baby-ness.
Here's a little rundown of my Charlotte:
--She loves to eat. Anything. Anytime.
--She drinks her sippy cup of milk like she's been wandering through the desert for 10 days and nights.
--She puts everything in her mouth! Loves to stick her fingers in electrical sockets. Pulls lamps off of tables by their cords. Fall head first into a full bathtub. Wiggles out of her seat belt of her high chair and eats standing up. Stuffs 10 bites of food into her mouth at one time. And she is always trying sticking her head in to grocery bags--okay, not that last one. But really, she lives a life of danger!
--She can crawl almost as fast as I can run. However, she is currently learning how to walk. She stands up, takes 5 steps and then falls down after she applauds her own efforts. :)
--Laughs at EVERYTHING Bridger or Kennedy do. And her laugh kind of resembles a machine gun in sound...
--She is such a good sleeper! She sleeps 13 hours straight at night and then takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Isn't she a lovely baby?
--And she is obsessed with the phone. If you ever want to see a 1 year old baby throw a 20 minute tantrum then take the phone away from her. She has been known to send jibberish text messages, schedule jibberish appointments and send calls. So sorry if you have been the recipient.
And finally, a conversation I over heard:
Bridger: "you're my first best friend I've ever had.
Kennedy: "Oh! Well, what about Charlotte? Don't you think she's cute?"
B: "Yes, she's my 2nd Best Friend. But, you're my first."
K: "Oh! Thank you Bridger! You're my first best friend too!"
Just makes your heart melt, doesn't it? Soooo thankful for these little monsters :)

I love it!!!
Did you notice how Bridger's peers are captivated by him? He is definately a leader. His drawings are precious, I think he has artistic talent.
Who knew that 30 years later, my wedding dress could bring such happiness! I think Kennedy is an "old soul"!
Charlotte is a whole new story, I am loving the journey of getting to know her!
I remember those breakfasts in bed! Sweet memories to cherish forever.
Your blog is so entertaining!!!!
Well, they are about the sweetest little things ever! I, like Bridger, would like to figure out what my mind powers are ... Miss you all!
Your kids are so cute, they are always making me laugh :). You are so good about saving such funny things your kids do and say, I need to be better at this. That is so sad about Kennedy's lip :(.
I love this post! Your kids are such clever little cuties.
Maybe #3 seems a little busier than the rest because they are 1) keeping up with their big sibs and 2) doing things while you are busy with the big sibs? Whatever it is, we are in the same boat. I hope for your sake Charlotte doesn't figure out the pushing the chair to climb up to the sink, pantry, counter, washer and dryer, computer, etc. for a long, long time. :)
What sweet, sweet kids! I love that you post these things so I can get to know them from afar! We should have a family reunion soon!
Oh they are all at such fun ages!!! So cute!!
Cutest kids ever!! I'm so lucky to be their Aunt! Kennedy's poor lip :(
Your kids are so cute! I can't believe that Charlotte is already 1! You are so good to write down the funny things your kids say....I need to be better about that! :)
Cute post! We sent a picture off to the friend too not very long ago. They need to do a special edition with just little kids artwork. It would be so fun to look at, and the kids would be thrilled. You have such a cute family!
