Day Three

Today we had fun going to the little branch in Charlottetown. Afterwards, we got to visit my great uncle Wilfred (wilf) and his wife Veronica. It was fun to see him again--Kennedy wasn't too sure of him though--she screamed the whole time he held her! He even bought her this gigantic smiley face cookie (seriously, the size of her head)--I think he expected her to chow down, I gave her a few pieces and then hid the rest...much to her dismay. She was getting pretty excited there for a minute...

For dinner, we went to Shaw's--an old historic inn out in the country. It had such pretty views. I even got a pic of a PEI cow--she looked very pleased :) Our dinner was a gourmet buffet and it was to die for...we all had a game plan going in: Grammy was planning on only eating seafood, mom wanted to try a bite of everything and I was planning on eating as much as possible. Honestly, I had three gargantuan plate fulls--it was ridiculous. I won't even tell you how much dessert I ate--quite embarassing frankly.

I love these red rocky shores! I also love the circular hay bales...I remember climbing all over these when I was little.

These pictures do not do my dinner justice--Lobster, scallops, shrimp and mussels. Prime rib, pork, chicken and every kind of salad and vegetable. Dessert topped all--it was amazing! (then even had little tuxedo strawberries!) Said my mom: "The desserts were melt in your mouth. The chocolate was smooth and silky--delectable. No, you don't understand--I couldn't stop eating them until they rolled me out of the room!" Said grammy: "they were decadent. Decadent! Left your tongue tingling for more." :)

anyway...after dinner, we went to The Dunes and did some shopping. We all bought some mega jewlery--it was fun. Did I mention Sean baby-sat Kennedy the whole time? He put her to bed at 7:30--what a great brother. Don't feel too bad for him, though--gourmet buffets are not his style, he prefers pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.
