Happy happy birthday, Bridger! We love you so much--you make me laugh everyday--let's face it, you make a lot of people laugh...everyday. As much as I wish that I could just freeze you and kiss your cheeks forever, I am so glad that you'll let me kiss you "even when your a teenager". I just hope I can treasure every moment with you while you're still so little and kissable! And I love how, now that you're 4, you flex your muscles all the time.....

We had such a great Memorial Day weekend--we had planned to go camping with our friends, but due to rain, we decided to do a couple of daytrips instead. We each took a day, and we had a blast. I just love being up in the mountains!

On Saturday, we went up the canyon and found a great picnic spot, it looked like rain, but luckily for us, it held off just long enough. I took a ton of pictures, and have posted a ton too. Hopefully it's not too boring, but it's my blog and I can do what I want :)

Our picnic spot was right next to the river--and so gorgeous! It's nice that our kids are just old enough to understand and be afraid fo the water--cause it was moving quick! After lunch, we did a hike up to a waterfall. I couldn't believe how much snow there was still on the ground! If anyone misses the winter--there's still plenty of sledding up here....anyone??? I didn't think so.

The boys were so cute walking through the mud puddles and snow--they would hike their pants up like little pioneer women--and even walk on their tip toes. You just have to laugh :)

Me and Naoma--she is such a great friend! So glad they invited us this weekend.

Is it bad to eat 4 smores? I mean, really, it's only half a chocolate bar--4 marshmallows and 4 graham crackers. Is it really that bad? Okay, is it bad to do it 2 days in a row? I didn't think so either.

Kenney just ate her smores in stages: first the chocolate, then the chocolate and finally the chocolate. Don't let the graham cracker fool you--she just carried it around for show.

Faith sat at the table for a long time...She just helped herself--it was so cute.

seriously, why do my kids have to make faces in every single picture! They don't mean to--Kennedy is trying to smile--Bridger just needs to "act like a human boy!"

On Sunday, we drove up with Jeremy's parents to visit his grandparents gravesites. His paternal grandparents are buried a couple hours north of here--in the most beautiful canyon. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it is right on the hillside. It was pouring rain at the time, which made it even prettier. I never got to meet Jer's grandfather, Clint, but I did get to know Thelma (his grandmother) enought to love her. It was a great trip. And if you ask, Bridger will tell you all about his "great great great great great great great great" grandparents (it goes on forever, there is really only one "great"--he just gets on a roll and goes with it, I guess.)

And here we are at Jer's maternal grandmother's site (Rhea)--I never met her either, but I hear she was amazing :)

Now onto Monday, Bridger's birthday. Who doesn't love to start out the day with donuts?? It was a little tricky today, because we had already given Bridger his birthday present. He kept asking how many presents would be waiting for him in the morning, I kept telling him none, he kept crying. He was getting the whole Santa/birthday thing mixed up. Finally, I explained to him that birthdays weren't about presents (Grinch, anyone???) they were about having fun...and eating lots and lots of treats. Well, that put a smile on his face. He was finally able to fall asleep :)

This time we went up a different canyon--the weather was perfect! Bridger and Tommy entertained themselves with a rope--great fun.

There were also little caterpillars everywhere! They freaked Kennedy out, but Bridger and Tommy loved them! They named them, loved them and talked to them like I talk to little babies...it was pretty funny. Isn't this the cutest picture ever?

Here is Bridger blowing out the candles with the "pretend" flames. It was a little too windy. Bridger just goes with it when I make up weird stuff like that (he's used to me, I guess) but Tommy must think I am out of my mind!

Another hike--this is a must see for everyone! A 360 degree view of the entire valley. Gorgeous!!!!

Smelling, I mean inhaling the flowers....

What a fabulous weekend! What a beautiful place we live in and what great friends we have!
