Today we were finally able to go to the beach! We were all so excited--the day was still kinda rainy, but we headed out anyway and it turned out to be a really nice day. We went to Lakeside Beach--it was really nice because it was very secluded and there was hardly anyone there.
We had a little friend greet us--I almost stepped on him in the water and he was ready to fight! Poor little crab!
We weren't planning on swimming because of all the wind and rain, but I was wishing I had worn my swimsuit when the sun came out after we arrived.
Kennedy was such a fish! She loved every minute of it! When we first came here, she was kind of skeptical of the sand and very skeptical of the water, but after a few minutes she was crawling into the ocean! She was covered in sand from head to toe and she was even eating it at one point! She loved "walking" through the water--she had a few waves crash on her, which she found rather shocking, but she had a great time licking all of the salt off her face (she reminded me of a little puppy!)
She was completely mesmerized!
I love this picture of her because it looks like she was all alone on the beach--it was so great to have the beach all to ourselves!

Here is my mom, she was educating Kennedy on the ways to eat a clover. She claims they taste like honey--she tried to feed some to Kennedy (which she rejected), the rest of us passed as well... :) I think she enjoyed reminiscing about her childhood memories!

First of all, the beach looks gorgeous. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to step in the water again though after seeing that crab. Second, Kennedy looks so much like Bridger in the picture of her up close with the spiky hair. I'm glad yall are having a good time. Your whole trip looks like so much fun, and you've gotten so many good pictures. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

I am about to call the airlines and come and join you! It is so beautiful there, I may just have to pull out my Anne of Green Gables movies instead!
It looks so peaceful there, except for the crab of course! And I hate to admit, but I am probably the only person out there who has not read or seen Anne of Green Gables. That being said, it still looks like a gorgeous place!
