Island Park

We had so much fun in Island Park! The wildflowers were amazing, there were fields of them all over the place. It seems like we were there at just the right time.

Here is a picture of all the cousins--Jordan, Madison, Bridger and Kennedy
We stayed in the funnest cabin--it was ginormous! It was luxury to have Kennedy in her own room and Bridger was in 7th heaven to be able to share with his cousins! He kept them up all night long--talking a mile a minute about any topic that came to mind. Lately, he has learned that he can keep talking, even when he needs to inhale, it's quite hilarious!

Here is a moose that we saw on our way home. I know, it looks more like a spec, so you'll have to take my word for it.
Jordan and Jer on the dutch ovens--we had Broccoli and Cheese soup and Cream Cheese Brownies one night for dinner--so yummy!!! Although, Jordan is quite the pyromaniac--he wanted to burn everything in sight! :)
Here is Kennedy after her (early) 1st birthday celebration--she got a cupcake. Well, first she smashed her fist into a cupcake, then she let Grandma feed her what was left. She loved it! Poor girl, she got my sugar genes...
When we go up to the cabins, the girls are in charge of a craft (since there's really not that much to do up there--besides, we like to stay in the cabin..it's cozy..) We made purses and then put rhinestones all over them. They turned out really cute and Bridger and many many neighbor kids had a blast helping me drink them all empty!
Here are some shots of us in the flowers.

At the West Yellowstone Parade--we only caught the tail end of it, but Bridger was able to catch one piece of candy--thank goodness--- And yes, he is wearing girls glasses, but they still look pretty cute!

Cute Madison at our picnic before the fireworks. She loves to pose for photos (and she is so fun to take pictures of!)
Another one of our crafts--Shauna taught us how to make pom-poms!!! Don't be surprised if my house is covered in pom-poms now--they are so fun and addicting to make!

Kennedy, trying to eat the camera...
Here is an eagle's nest that we saw in Yellowstone--the whole area was roped off and protected. Later, we saw a bald eagle in a tree--it was so neat, and perfect for the 4th of July!
Buffalo--they were everywhere and so close...a little too close...
The Baumgart family (Jer's sister) in front of some elk. They are expecting Baby Hudson in October--we are beyond excited!!!!

Here we are at Old Faithful--Bridger rode on Joel's shoulders--he loved the view, but mostly he loved to rub Joel's head. It was so funny to watch--I thought Bridger was going to fall asleep up there! (I think Joel could've gone to sleep too!)

Mesa Falls

Bridger digging into a cupcake. Lucky for us, Jeremy's mom is a great cook and she loves to feed us. During our 4 day stay--she made: homemade cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, 2 gallons of homemade ice cream, 2 birthday cakes and 5 loaves of homemade bread. At first, I thought she was being super nice and I was extremely grateful...but now, I'm kinda mad--because I gained 5 pounds in 4 days....I'm going to have to be really good for a while! :)
Kennedy playing in our third craft--we tied blankets for all the kids. She and Bridger loved their blankets!! They were perfect to have for the ride home too (even though it's a hundred degrees outside...)

We tried to go rafting, but it just didn't quite work out for us (we tried 4 places, and the person in front of us kept taking the last one!) So, we went to a lake and splashed in the water, only to find that there was a leach infestation! Thank heavens I didn't get one (I would have died on the spot) but Jer and Jordan both had a couple (gross!!!!)--after that we went back to our cabin--our happy place. Can't wait till next time!
