The "Real Santa"

My fabulous photographer friend Emilie took the kids pictures with Santa this year and they turned out adorable!  I have to say, it is so hard to get kids ready for their pictures.  Not only do they need to look nice, they need to be fed, in a good mood and well rested.  It's exhausting!

This was Charlotte's first time ever meeting Santa.  She had a great time!  Her little chin quivered at first, but only for a second.  We were able to distract her enough to get a few cute smiles.  And you may be wondering what she wants for Christmas....Well, she wants total freedom in life--to go where she wants, eat what she wants and stay up for as long as she wants.   Unfortunately, this probably won't be happening.  I wonder if she would settle for a toy....

And Kennedy.  Oh Kennedy.  Just check out this evolution of a smile...

She is such a stinker!  We practiced smiling all day....  This is the first year that Kennedy willingly went to Santa.  She's always been a little nervous.  Although, from that first picture it looks like she hasn't quite gotten over that nervousness yet!  This little girl's imagination is growing fast--she was very disappointed that the photo shoot wasn't actually in the North Pole....  And even though she steps on the baby every now and then and floods the toilet...eats toothpaste...and sneaks my lipstick...she's been a very good girl.  She really really wants a Lalaloopsie Doll--the princess one--with the purple hair.  Oh yes, and another one for Charlotte when she grows up....isn't that nice?? :)  I'm sure Kennedy will take good care of it until then!

Bridger took this visit very seriously!  He says he's pretty sure this is the real Santa, but he can't be positive--since he didn't see any reindeer out front.  Hmmmm....he's still deciding.  He has been  a very good boy and brother to his two sisters.  He is a great student at school and does EVERYTHING his teacher asks him to!  He is so cute--when I help out in his class each week he always comes over and gives me hugs and kisses.  One day he even told me that is was hard to do his work while I was there, because he just wants to hug me all day!  I love that!

Bridger is a lego fanatic!  So he asked Santa to bring him Bus Stop Legos.  He saw these in a store--there's a city bus--and a pizza parlor with little lego pizzas.  Amazing, right? :)

I'm sure they'll all get what they asked for--and I'm just thankful Bridger took the electric car off his list!  Last year, all Kennedy wanted for Christmas was a prince--so I'm grateful we don't have to deal with that either.  Now I just need to get my list in the mail.... :)

Holy cow your kids are cute!! The first picture of Kennedy made me laugh out loud, so funny!! Bridger looks very handsome and Charlotte is just a doll. I am so proud of her for not crying! I am assuming those are the skirts you made the girls? Precious!!

Precious, precious and precious!!! I want one of each!!! You did such a great job dressing them. Wouldn't "the evolution of a smile" be cute in one of those frames that showed all of Kennedy's photos? I can't wipe the smile off my face :)
